SAM (co-founder)

After 10 years of working full time and exercising as a hobby and a stress management tool, Sam became a personal trainer in order to finally flip things around and make her passion her day job. She had her first baby in 2018 and believes that keeping active and feeling strong helped her to have a wonderful pregnancy. Sam has always valued the power of movement for a fulfilling lifestyle and as way to soothe a busy mind. She is a nurturer by nature and she finds being able to support people and encourage them to move, no matter where they are starting from, incredibly rewarding.

JESSICA (co-founder)

Jessica has been teaching yoga for more than 10 years, interspersing her time in the city with spells in the ashrams of India and the Amazon & Costa Rican jungles. She came to yoga at a time of great personal loss and has found it to be an incredible anchor during life’s inevitable storms, and a fundamental guidebook for living well. Jess’s influences are many and varied, and she cherry picks her favourites to bring awareness, curiosity and a pinch of philosophy into an embodied, joyful flow. She is dedicated to helping others develop a greater intimacy with themselves and believes that yoga is the perfect place to begin that journey.

CHRIS

Chris initially trained as a professional dancer and proceeded to tour the world appearing in musicals, variety shows, arena tours, the X-factor and the Olympic Closing ceremony. After 10 years in the industry he started teaching various styles of dance and fitness, with the understanding that everyone can find joy in moving their body and once they find the right movement for them then the energy will change their lives. Chris’ classes are straight up FUN, and his enthusiasm is infectious. He will always give 100% and hopes that you will join him for the journey.

SAM B

Sam began in ballet at a young age, and later was met with the choice of either going professional or moving to pursue acting. One unstable career was enough for him, and so he chose acting. Dancing therefore became a hobby, but he soon discovered that he could fuse it with exercise.. and a Barre teacher was born! Along the way, Sam found yoga as a coping mechanism during drama school, and later during the covid lockdowns. He also teaches fitness after being dragged to the gym by his brother and quickly becoming addicted to those endorphins!

KATRINA

Katrina found yoga while studying human biology in California and immediately loved the cloud of calm presence she felt after class - a contrast to the majority of her day! It was the challenge of exploring the depth of breath and the edges of her physical practice that kept her going back, but she particularly loved the introspective nature of combining the philosophical and physical practices of yoga. It always taught her something new, and often exactly what she needed to learn. She practiced as often as she could, and now she is four teacher trainings deep and still going! Katrina is grateful to be able to teach a practice that she loves.. she has seen it bring peace and joy, and shift many a mood and perspective! She believes that yoga meets you exactly where you’re at - just as you are now - and is a pillar of equanimity along the unpredictable path of life.

BECCA

Becca has been teaching yoga and Pilates for the last few years in various studios across London. She started her training with a 200hr hot yoga certification in a very unconventional way at the time - over zoom in the first Covid lockdown! From there she gained a 200hr vinyasa/Hatha certification to widen her yoga teaching skills, and finally a mat Pilates certification as she believes that yoga and Pilates are very complimentary disciplines. Becca loves being able to help people reconnect with their mind, breath, and body, shutting off from the hectic modern world outside of the studio for even a small period of time and finding sanctuary and joy in movement. Her classes are dynamic, fun, and supportive with a focus on posture and alignment, encouraging people to move towards the edge of their own personal comfort zone while taking things at their own pace.

HEIDI

With a background in professional dance, theatre and music, Heidi came to yoga to reconnect to her body, to slow down, and return to herself. Very quickly she was hooked and found herself delving deeper into the spiritual side of yoga, devoting time to daily practice & meditation. Heidi’s journey with sound was something of a homecoming; a way back to the part of herself she thought was lost when the Covid 19 pandemic halted her career as a musician. Reconnecting with the magic of sound and vibration through the modality of sound healing has been an incredibly beautiful and healing journey for Heidi and is something she feels passionately about working with and sharing with each of you. Heidi aims to create compassionate and conscious classes where people can come together and share in the joy of connecting with their bodies, souls, breath and with each other.  And hopefully, help you to find a moment or two of stillness amongst the rush of everyday life.

EM

Em fell in love with Barre about 5 years ago, retrained as a fitness instructor 2 years ago and left her corporate job to follow her enormous love of movement. She is an instructor at Blok, Soho House and F45, and has worked at a variety of other studios over the last two years building her experience in different disciplines. Em’s main focus now is barre and high intensity training. ‘I love making people feel good! Movement is life changing to me and I like facilitating the space for people to experience that. Helping people create a connection with themselves, see how much stronger - mentally and physically - they can become (and often already are!) watching people grow and give themselves that dedicated time for themselves is really powerful to me. I could talk about it forever. It’s a much bigger job, emotionally, than people often perceive it to be. My classes are hard but fun (I hope!) I aim to work people hard and I definitely don’t shy away from that, I think people come back to my classes for the challenge because they tend to end up surprising themselves! But I always want to make people feel welcome and safe with me. It’s important to have a laugh and not take it so seriously. It’s how I train with my friends, so it’s how I train with my clients. Giggle through the burn!’

BELLA

As a professional dancer, pilates, yoga and fitness were always a big part of Bella’s life, keeping her strong and healthy and avoiding injury. ‘In my first year out of dance school I was searching for ways to sustain myself in such a challenging industry. I discovered barre and became addicted to this motivating, uplifting and challenging workout. I have now been teaching barre for 6 years, and in 2023 I launched my own teacher training programme BarreForm with a friend and colleague. My ethos is centered around my love of movement as a way to facilitate stress relief, build confidence and develop a stronger mind-body connection. I love empowering folks from all walks of life to connect deeply to their bodies and find enjoyment in challenging themselves as a way of exploring what they're capable of, rather than using exercise as punishment or solely for body transformation. I have personally found that the resilience & endurance I've gained through barre has helped me in so many other aspects of life, and I love sharing this with others. I have a positive, high-energy and technical teaching style and an inclusive, body-positive approach. My classes are upbeat and challenging, with plenty of options to modify or advance the exercises. I have a big focus on safe alignment and technique, and I like to take the practice seriously but not take myself too seriously - I do love to share a few giggles along the way!’

FELICITY

Felicity has been on her Yoga teaching journey for nearly four years, and we are so excited to have her finally joining the movement team! She began with an initial teacher training in Vinyasa and Ashtanga, and since then she has expanded her knowledge with training in Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Meditation and Mindfulness. Alongside this, she is trained in Disco Barre and The Lotte Berk Technique. ‘You could say I am addicted to learning. It is one of the things that I find most exciting and transformative about Yoga, I will forever and foremost be a student. Teaching for me is not only an opportunity to be creative, but a way to uplift my students, a chance to find space in the body and mind through flow. In my Vinyasa class, you will find influence from all my training. Expect a creative flow, with an extra bit of spicy strength thrown in, and a delicious slow down at the end of the practice, a chance to drop into bodily sensation and reap the rewards of your movement.’
